“Farleigh School is a place of energy and spirited enquiry. Children of all abilities thrive in the warm and safe environment which values every individual, offers countless opportunities and prepares them for senior school and beyond. Farleigh pupils grow in confidence and in kindness, discovering qualities and interests that will enrich them for the rest of their lives.”
Fr Simon Everson
Inside Scoop from a current parent
Farleigh is simply unique. We chose it for its Catholic ethos and having heard countless recommendations on it and have since been astounded by the school. Each child is seen as an individual, they are then nurtured and encouraged.
The children have a deep-rooted sense of right and wrong instilled in them from the moment they arrive at Farleigh, which creates kind, confident and happy children. They seek to help others around them and find joy in the achievements of others.
At the same time, they are quietly driven to succeed in a whole array of areas, from the obvious academic and sporting, through to drama and the arts. There is also a strong emphasis on the subtle attributes, such as courtesy and always having a smile.
As Parents, We Love...
- Pastoral care – when you go to school, it’s written all over their faces: these children are happy, and that is of No 1 importance to a parent.
- Fr Simon’s unique position as a priest, husband and parent gives him a great understanding of all aspects of life, which makes him a good listener and a fantastic Headmaster.
- The music department is exceptional. All the children get to participate in concerts, both on a large and small scale. Children learn to be inspired by the better musicians whilst feeling that they also have a role to play. In the Art Room too - a creative genius art teacher includes all. I could go on and on…!
Our Children Love...
- Fortress Farleigh, the play area in the grounds which feels like an adventure playground.
- The Summer Soirée – the open air concert in the summer where the children cartwheel and giggle between performances whilst helping themselves to everyone’s picnics.
- Farleigh friends are friends for life
