Head's Up

“Knightsbridge School is often referred to as KS, standing for all the qualities integral to the KS ethos: Keep Striving, Keep Studying, Keep soldiering On, Keep Sporty, Keep Singing, Keep it Simple, Keep Safe & Sound and most importantly, Keep Smiling.”

Our school motto are Juniors ‘Play Hard, Work Hard’ and Seniors ‘Work Hard, Play Hard’.”

Magoo Giles

Inside Scoop from a current parent

We initially chose KS for our daughter, and subsequently our other two daughters, because of the energy and spirit that is tremendously apparent the second you walk through the doors.

Magoo has such a passion and vision for the children and the school. It combines all the things we were looking for- excellent academics, making sure the children have a genuine interest in the world and appreciation for others (community is a very big aspect of KS), and fun and safe environment to learn and grow.

The school is very honest about what they are trying to achieve…it is not a 7+ school as they want the students to have the chance to flourish in all areas of development. This by no means makes it any less academically rigorous.  The school produces eloquent, poised, curious and well-mannered students.

As Parents, We Love...

  • The school very much focuses on making the child an all-rounder- they have amazing drama, art, music, sports as well as academics. There is a chance for every student to shine during the year.
  • There is a real difference between the junior and senior school. The junior school is very nurturing and fun, following their motto of “play hard, work hard”. This prepares them well for the senior school which is more academically focused and more serious, following their motto of “work hard, play hard”.
  • There is a real open door policy at the school. Parents are encouraged to play an active role in their child’s development and communication between the teachers and the parents is excellent.

Our Children Love...

  • The teachers. There is a very caring and safe environment at the school that allows the students to be comfortable but they are still pushed to their potential.
  • The clubs and activities. There is something for everyone from sports to coding to sewing. One real highlight is the KS Got Talent show, a real example of the spirit of KS and one that highlights the amazing talents of the student.
  • The student body is very diverse, with a thread of kindness and acceptance that unites them. The friendships they have made are incredible.
