Head's Up

“To provide a safe, happy learning environment where our boys can flourish and develop into confident, ambitious and curious individuals fully prepared to make a positive contribution to the world around them.”

David Faber

Inside Scoop from a current parent

We chose the school as it was the stand out boys only prep school in southern UK, with an unrivalled track record of gaining successful applications to the best public schools in the country.  Summer Fields finds the perfect blend of high academic standards at all times, with superb sporting facilities and coaching, leading to excellent sporting progress and healthy fit boys. The school is also unapologetically competitive in the attitude to sporting outcomes, which rubs off well on the boys.

The pastoral care is simply excellent, whether on a general basis or on a more individually tailored level we really feel the care and attention the school gives each child is first rate.

The culture in the school is unrivalled, and this positive and progressive culture runs through the Head, the masters and on to the pupils themselves, and this has given our son the perfect start in his schooling life.

As Parents, We Love...

  • The level of care and attention given to our son is outstanding, we really feel that that his personal tutor and all his teachers do really understand him as an individual and can tailor his programme to optimise his talents
  • The strength in boarding parents/teachers is immense, the warm and comforting nature of all the lodge parents is so strong that we are never concerned when leaving our son at a boarding school
  • The overall facilities both sporting and non sporting are so outstanding we feel our son has access to such a wide variety of activities that his time is full and his talents, whichever they may be will be spotted, and can be optimised during his time at Summer Fields

Our Children Love...

  • The community and community spirit within the day boys, boarders and staff is fun and exciting
  • The programme for work and sport/activities balance makes school life great fun and really challenging at the same time
  • The sports facilities and teams are awesome and we love winning and having fun afterwards
