Inside Scoop from a current parent

We chose the school because of its fantastic reputation, the many lovely children we know there, and the fact it’s co-ed. The teachers are warm, friendly and experienced and we were hugely impressed by the beautiful expansive grounds and pitches.

My kids are fully encouraged and involved in everything from art exhibitions, to the Year 6 & 7 musical, to the many sports matches. Kindness, one of the school’s core values, is seen in pretty much all areas of the school’s day to day life. The parent community is very friendly, inclusive and local. On top of all this, the Second-Hand-Shop is absolutely brilliant – a genuine one stop shop!

As Parents, We Love...

  • The matrons and pastoral care: always smiling, always kind and always there for the children (and the parents too!)
  • The food and catering staff; my cooking is never as good! Fresh, great choice and delicious. The Twyfoodian – a cook book of their recipes is a hit.
  • So much knowledge and confidence is instilled in the children to take on to their senior schools and beyond.

Our Children Love...

  • The children LOVE the school’s own game Court Cricket in the Summer term.
  • The children LOVE the food – particularly ‘Bird Seed’ on a Wednesday lunch!
  • The TPA Summer extravaganza, if you’re really lucky, you get to dunk the Headmaster or Bursar in the tank!

School Highlights

44 2018 Year 8 leavers were awarded 17 scholarships to their Senior Schools.

Cricket; U11 and U12 boys teams were Hampshire county champions. We are in the Cricketer Magazine’s Top 50 Prep Schools for cricket.

The Year 6 & 7 play is always a highlight. We look forward to Oliver! this year.
